I haven’t seen a lot of photographs of other cultures celebrating marriage before, so this particular wedding was truly enlightening. Sana and Arman entrusted Toronto-based photographer, Rocky Choi, to capture their momentous occasion. Although this is Rocky’s first solo photoshoot, he did an exceptional job of documenting Sana and Arman’s wedding day. Every single picture is fantastic! Rocky’s photography style really zooms in on the relevant detail, and this really shows off the meticulous designs of the clothing and decor. Not only does Rocky capture the elaborate details of the wedding day, every photograph is beaming with emotion, fantastic colour and lighting.
One of my favourite photographs is the one where Arman, Sana, and their fathers are all holding hands together. As Rocky explains, “This was a very touching moment as Sana is moving to Dallas with Arman. Sana’s dad grabbed Arman’s dad and held all their hands together, asking them to please take care of Sana.” Personally, I think this particular wedding stands out the most to me because of the amount of emotion that’s evident in the faces of Sana, Arman, and their family members.
As I said before, I am a huge fan of candid photographs. I absolutely adore the action shot of Arman shouting with joy amidst his friends and family.
