Design Exchange

The Design Exchange is located in one of the most elegant historic buildings in the city of Toronto – the former Toronto Stock Exchange, at the intersection of Bay and King Streets.

The renovated building (formerly the Toronto Stock Exchange) is now an unrivalled resource within the city of Toronto. The building's art moderne style of architecture conveys a sense of exclusivety and achievement. Warm wood and cool marble finishes combine for a genuinely stunning physical setting. A multi-million dollar restoration has returned the Trading Floor to its 1937 art deco splendor. The elegant INCO Grand Staircase presents the perfect opportunity for pictures as you are directed to the breathtaking 40-foot-high environment. The beautiful Trading Floor, featuring eight murals by renowned artist Charles Comfort, is perfect as an intimate setting for parties of 150-250, providing a once-in-a-lifetime unforgettable occasion. The William and Nona Heaslip Room in particular provides an excellent location for privately held receptions for the bride, groom and wedding party. The room features a beautiful panoramic view of the famous King & Bay Street corners, and features spacious private washrooms. When you book your event at Design Exchange your patronage supports our mission of promoting Canadian design. Proceeds from rental of our historic venue directly support DX educational programming. This is a heritage facility and we preserve the building's grandeur through continual restorations.
